The structure of the EEC consists of the European Commission, a Council of Ministers and a European Parliament. The Commission’s members are appointed by the member countries’ governments and its decisions are subject to the approval of the Council, where, by convention, either the Finance Ministers or the heads of the central bank represent their respective countries.
